Bill leads the SMSLLC team in developing compliance solutions that are simple, effective and appropriate to each client's needs. He also leads the company in meeting the ever changing regulatory, safety and compliance challenges faced by the maritime industry. Bill holds a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a B.S. in Marine Transportation from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Roger is a seasoned maritime and consulting professional who coordinates the firm’s fiscal and business strategies. He has assisted numerous clients with the development and improvement of their compliance programs and is most valuable to the SMSLLC team in providing his analytical review and critique for key project deliverables. Roger holds a B.S. in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology - U.S. Business School in Prague.

John is an accomplished maritime professional with a career reflecting over 35 years of combined experience at sea and ashore providing management system services to various vessel operators. He is a proponent of risk-based procedural control and behavioral-based safety. He has performed hundreds of operational audits seeking process improvement as well requirement compliance. John holds a B.S. in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Eric sailed as a licensed marine engineer onboard a variety of vessels and has held numerous shoreside positions. He complements the SMSLLC team with his engineering experience and strong analytical skills. He has experience with both commercial and governmental entities, including the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. Eric holds a B.A. in History from Mary Washington College and a B.S. in Marine Engineering Technology from Maine Maritime Academy.

Jeff joined the SMSLLC team in 2013 after sailing as Chief Mate onboard cargo ships and earning an MBA at the University of New Hampshire. His work at sea included time onboard roll-on roll-off and subsea cable repair vessels in worldwide service as well as U.S. coastwise chemical tankers. His experience ashore includes time as a marine fuel oil trader and research consultant for a municipal port. Today Jeff assists clients with the assessment and mitigation of risks in the maritime industry. He is a member of the Marine Society of the City of New York, the Council of American Master Mariners and the Connecticut Maritime Association.
